There's a slight difference in the air, some leaves are changing, and the goldenrod is blooming, but it's still definitely summer - on the calendar and in the temperature. So here is a late summer outfit.

I'm delighted with two thrifted finds - this black tiered silk-blend dress and this berry-colored macramé bag. I had been on the lookout for a basic sundress all summer, and finally - at the end of the season - came across this drop-waist charmer. Since it's black, I imagine it will work well with a cardigan or a denim jacket when the weather turns.

I'm really into vintage macramé right now. This purse, as well as two amazing nylon macramé plant hangers, were discovered on the same thrifitng excursion. The bag is in excellent condition, and I believe it's homemade. I usually prefer larger bags, but I'll always make an exception for a berry-colored macramé purse with a wooden bead closure.

In other news...thanks to everyone who submitted to Flying Clubhouse Magazine! All the fantastic submissions are going to make this project much more interesting than I anticipated. I hope to release it on October 10th, and everyone can read it embedded on this blog, at issuu.com, or whereever you care to share it. :-)
