Peasant Blouse

The weather is perfect for peasant blouses, and (see photos) terrible for bangs. I found this cutie top at a local thrift shop. I'm paring it with my favorite American Apparel denim mini skirt. I love these hoop earrings. I'd wear them more often, but they're screwbacks and don't stay in very well. My lighter screwback earrings don't have this problem, but these will occasionally fall off. Anyway, I just wanted to share this summer outfit, which may turn into my summer uniform!

    1. Thank you, Elizabeth. Finding this top was a total surprise. I've come across a lot of long-sleeved peasant tops but this is the first short-sleeved one I've found in a thrift store. I've been drooling over a lot of cute vintage ones on Etsy, though.

I hope you find the one you're looking for too!

  3. Embroidered peasant blouses are such lively and lovely garments. I have a small number myself, but do a miserable job of remembering to actually photograph (and sometimes even wear) them when the sun is actually shining. I often beeline it for sundresses and call it a day. Thank you for the reminder to try all the more to give my peasant tops some well deserved love this season.

    1. I can see why you bee-line for a sun dress - especially if you've been having weather like we've been having! I love how timeless and versatile peasant blouses are for vintage-lovers.

You are welcome - and thank you!

  4. I love the bangs on you. They suit you very well. I'm in a dilemma of whether I want to grow mine out for summer or just keep trimming them and suffer greasy bangs. The peasant top is such a great find! I've been on the search for one myself but haven't had any luck yet.

    1. Aw! Thank you so much the "bangscouragement"! :-) Do you ever pin your bangs up during the summer? I've been trying that recently.

Hope you find your own perfect peasant blouse!
