I'm an old fogey when it comes to technology, and I dislike change. I was still using a flip phone until a few months ago, and I've found no reason to upgrade from Photoshop CS2. (Confession: I'm still pining over Windows XP, my first love). Anyway, I've been absent from blogging recently because I've had some computer troubles. I'm getting used to a new laptop, and slowly growing accustomed to Windows 8. Despite the change, I'm very grateful for a new computer and the chance to get back into my old routine. (I'm sorry about not responding to all your lovely comments on this blog recently - life has just been busy this month)!

Despite these minor setbacks, we've been enjoying this beautiful time of year and the cooler weather. Recently, we took in funnel cakes and bright lights at the agricultural fair. It was a great chance to experiment with my camera in constantly changing light.

  1. Glad you were able to both go to a fair and get a new computer.

  2. Those pictures of the park lights at night are just mesmerizingly beautiful, Anna. I can just imagine what the atmosphere must have been like. And don't worry, I am bascially the same with technology. I had an awful time trying to figure out how to use Windows 8, and my phone is still just an old little Nokia!

    1. Thanks! Windows 8 is a challenge, isn't it? I'm glad you understand. And what horrors I experienced trying to install CS2 when I learned that Adobe ceased support for it! haha, I feel like a fossil.

I have to admit - the rides looked terrifying and as if they had seen better days. I stayed far away and took photos. :-)

  3. Such lovely photos. Makes me wish I would have taken my camera to the carnival I went to this last summer!

  4. Oh. I love this. There really is nothing like a fair, and youve captured it beautifully and perfectly. I know what you mean about tecnology, i still have a flip phone i got in 2010 and thats just the tip of the iceberg. But glad that you're back to blogging.

  5. Goodness I hear you on the not liking change thing! I own Photoshop CS6 but haven't bothered to get to grips with it because I'm perfectly happy with CS3 and I dread the day I'm forced to upgrade to Windows 8. My parents have it and I just don't see the point. Glad to hear you're feeling better and enjoying the season!
