Autumn Throwback

The Flying Clubhouse: Autumn Throwback | pumpkin in rain
Last year, thanks to some very talented poets and artists, I released a autumn-themed zine through this blog. Although two amazing photographers submitted their work, most submissions were poetry so it was up to me to create the look of the zine a provide accompanying images. These are some photos from last year that for one reason or another didn't make the cut. The first image I did use, but in vertical format, and I think I like it better in horizontal.

There were two types of images used for Flying Clubhouse Zine and they are also represented here. The first type was staged, while the second type was spontaneous. The staged, indoor, images were great fun to take. There was a lot of experimenting with lighting, and I even learned how to make dried orange slices to use as props. I've learned a lot about photography in the last year, and there are definitely things I'd do differently now, but I still wanted to share these images with you in the spirit of autumn.

Be sure to check out last year's zine in you haven't yet!
