I've been playing with longer exposures and black and white conversion this month. These are some of my favorites. This year's grinning jack-o'-lantern was a fun subject.
I have a deep love of Halloween and campy horror imagery, but I'm not too keen on horror movies - even classic ones. I'll take Frankenstein, the Mummy, and the Invisible Man in a title as long as it's proceeded by "Abbott and Costello Meet." My husband loves classic horror films, however, and we did watch Halloween (1978) this year. It was the first time I had seen it, and I actually enjoyed the suspense and premise, but I don't think it's something I'd seek out and watch on my own. Comedies with copious amounts of candy are my Halloween preference, so we had a little pumpkin-carving party with hot chocolate and watched Wreck-It Ralph (2012).

These are so neat! You are just the embodiment of Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sophie! These were so much fun to take. :-)
DeleteI love these photos! I remember playing around with longer exposures for my photography class around this time last year, and I had so much fun creating ghost-like images.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! :-)
DeleteThese photos are super creepy in the best possible way! I love them! Perfect dress for Halloween too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wore it often last winter, and it was great to pull it out for Halloween this year. :-)
DeleteAhhh, these scream Halloween and are eerily beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Samantha! I sure am enjoying your autumnal photos. :-)
DeleteI don't mind the few classic ones I've seen (Okay, so Frankenstein) but like you I'm not into horror either. However, these photos are delightfully creepy and this song is great!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristian!
DeleteI'm not surprised you don't mind the classics. ;-) This is my favorite little creepy song, btw.
Love that first image. It makes me think of a story about a woman with a twin who died in the womb who is haunting her now...
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is a great back story. Thanks, Jessica!
DeleteThese are amazing and terrifying! Love. I definitely prefer classic horror if I have to watch horror. Probably because the effects make it more comedic then intended.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jamie! Comedy and horror are a great combination. :-)
DeleteI just love these photos! They are extra spooky and perfect for Halloween. Very clever with the longer exposure. I especially find the picture of the ghost very spooky!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-) I love that ghost! It's just a random Halloween decoration I spotted blowing in the wind. I have to say, he looks spookier in black and white.
DeleteThese pictures are absolutely amazing! I've never seen anything like them and I LOVE them!!

Glad you like them, Camilla! Happy Halloween!
DeleteSuch awesome pictures! If I didn't know any better I would have thought you a ghost/apparition for real! Incredibly chilling and, though I'm terribly late, hope you had an awesome Halloween!
