"Wisteria and sunshine" is what a newspaper ad for an Italian Villa promised in the 1991 film Enchanted April. To Lottie and Rose, ensnared in dreary marriages and dreary London weather, the words seemed like magic.
To me, wisteria is one of the most enchanting flowers of spring. It explodes all over the trees and gracefully hangs down, blowing in the breeze. It's hard to miss the striking blue-violet color, especially when it grows in such large bunches.
Lovely.
