Happy August!

As I'm writing this, I can hear heavy raindrops on the roof and steps outside. We've been in a drought for awhile and it's a relief to get some rain. We've really been enjoying the last days of summer vacation. The other day we visted Rough Ridge Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I'd only been there once before - last November. Although the autumn foliage was beautiful, I was even more impressed with the greenery of summer. The fragile sand myrtle with its tiny white flowers was a treat to see growing by the boardwalk that made up part of the trail.

I couldn't help but include some more tea photos. I love quiet summer mornings.
