We took in some fall color last weekend at Rough Ridge Trail off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The trail was very muddy after all the recent rain, but the foliage was gorgeous. Crowds and crowds of people were there to enjoy the colors, so we had to park about a mile away and take a connecting trail to Rough Ridge. I wanted a longer hike, so this was fine by me.
What intense fall colors!
