There's still quite a bit of autumn left, but our part of the world has entered the second half of this season - the half which has a hint of ice in the air rather than a pleasant chill in the air. The leaves are quickly dropping (and have dropped) from the trees, and I'm starting to look for snow in the forecast. While the first half of autumn is cozy and spicy, it's easy to see mid-November through December as bleak. It's beautiful, but darker, edgier and colder. While it's nice to wake up in daylight, we rush outside in the afternoon to catch some sunlight before it quickly disappears.
Dreamy and gorgeous, as always. I love these little details you've captured.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are lovely. We usually have a mild fall and winter, but this year it's already been bitter cold. Today is warmer and the sun is shining, so it actually feels like fall.
ReplyDeleteYour words are beautiful and so very true. I find November to be a bleak month, not so much this year, but more often than not. Grey comes to mind when I think of November. Your pictures are oh so pleasing to the eye, as per usual, you have a way of capturing the earth's loveliness :)
