In the meantime, I've been spending quality time outdoors - between rain showers. (It's been an unusually rainy July). On a recent hike, we spotted this eastern tailed-blue butterfly, who let me take her picture. We also saw a beautiful orange monarch butterfly, who wouldn't sit still long enough for a good photo, but flew around us for a good five minutes.
I hope you all have had a good July. I'll see you in August! :-)
I love your flower photos so I don't mind at all! That's a pretty awesome butterfly, I love it when they stay still long enough to actually get a nice detailed photo of them.
ReplyDeleteI know! This one was like "hey i'm a butterfly take my picture plz!" but the monarch would have none of it! :-)
DeleteWow- awesome butterfly shot. I also really like the mushroom one. Your photos always make me feel like you live in a storybook, or something. So pretty and giving a feeling of mystery.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was surprised because I had never seen such a pretty lavender butterfly, but apparently they're really common here. We're lucky to be not terribly far from some really great state parks.
DeleteStunning photographs, the butterfly especially! This post has such a serene mood to it, I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That particular day and place really had a mood too.
Deleteno worries, i think your flower portraits are delightful. i totally agree with Kristian, the images are serene and calming and timeless like a storybook. please do not ever hesitate to share.

Thanks, Abigail. That's very kind of you to say.
DeleteOh, those pictures are absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pictures! It looks like a lovely place to spend time in, no wonder you've been there so much :)

You always take the most beautiful photographs, Anna. Looking at them is almost like taking a quite break from everything and dreaming of a distant place where everything is beautiful. How lovely that you got to shoot that little butterfly, though my favourite photograph is of the mushroom!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, Lucy. :-) I thought that mushroom looked like a shelter for a gnome or little fairy creature. <3
