Earlier this month we went apple picking and grabbed a peck of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, and Jonagolds. And last weekend we took a hike where we were startled by some cows along the way. We saw the back of this black one from a distance and at first thought it was a black bear! We we getting ready for a hasty retreat down the path before we realized it was just a small cow.
We've been sprucing things up around our place a little. I'm rather proud of my Van Gogh gallery wall - assembled with thrifted frames and small prints. It isn't new, but it was in shambles recently after some of the frames fell and the glass broke in one. (Those renter-friendly wall-hanging strips are great, but they only last so long - especially in a humid environment). Anyway, everything is back in order and looks even better without glass in the frame.
Is anyone working on Halloween costumes? Or decided on a Halloween costume? I usually start thinking intensely about Halloween in early August. (Halloween fun is serious business, folks). My husband and I always wear costumes that go together, but this year my sister is going to join us in a group costume plan. I've been sewing and assembling in my spare time. We'll see how it all turns out!
If you're ever done a couples/group costume for Halloween, feel free to share in the comments. I'd love to hear about it!
Lovely photos to greet the autumn season. No, we haven't done much with costumes. Should though, since it is on a Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-) I know! I'm sooo glad it's on a Saturday. I almost wish we could just celebrate Halloween on the last Saturday of October every year rather than the 31st.
DeleteYou just described everything that I want fall to be. These photos...I can't wait for the weather to get cooler and the leaves to start changing. And the gallery wall is adorable. Very creative!
