I like to photograph cups of tea. There's something calming and pleasant about a picture of a quiet personal ritual. I find these these paintings with tea or coffee to be very inviting. With no human subjects, these cups and trays seem to be set out just for the viewer.
I love to photograph tea too! I cannot explain why... it just feels peaceful and right.

I love tea still life portraits too. A cup of tea is such a sweet pause in the day, so it is well worth taking a picture of too.

So very lovely. I agree, still life images sans people can be all the more serene and calming, especially when they're of a beverage that tends to have these properties itself.
